What is better than having your farm with animals, crops, and even a bakery, all in the palm of your hand? Hay-Day: with its enthusiastic graphics and realistic systems, it has received numerous praises worldwide, including an App Store Editor who states, “It is one of the most phenomenal games of all time. Hay-Day is beyond ‘game’ and is a cultural masterpiece.” The game was created on June 12, 2012, by Supercell, a company that also launched the famous “Clash Royale” and “Brawl Stars.” It is currently available on App Store and Google Play.
The game starts when you, the user, join the world. You are welcomed with land to grow crops, a silo to store the crops, a barn to store items, and a chicken coup. Throughout your journey in the game, your main goal is to level up and grow your farm to its full potential. Leveling up allows you to a wider variety of crops, animals, and industry. When unlocking a new industry, players can bake cookies and a wide variety of food, including pancakes, hamburgers, and butter.
The Sims-style game has been targeted towards all ages who are interested in playing a casual game with medium progress. Because it is not a story-driven game, users can continue to play the game with endless activities. With its high-end quality, the game has reached 100 million players worldwide, collecting more than 1.2 billion dollars in revenue. Throughout my time in the game, Hay-Day has not disappointed me once in surprising me with activities that I’d never imagined to be possible. Moreover, the system and interactions are realistic, capturing both realism and entertainment in a single game. The game is worth every five stars, and I would recommend it to anyone.
