There are so many things to point out in “The Adventure of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D.” This movie was made for people who enjoy science fiction, but after watching it, even those who once loved this genre might end up disliking it.
The film was made in 2005 by Robert Rodriguez with a total budget of 50 million dollars, and a total box office of 72 million dollars. The story is about the protagonist Max, who escapes to fantasy from the bullies. One day, Lava Girl and Shark Boy come to life to bring Max to their world; drool world, where they need to cooperate to fight against aliens and save the planet from destruction.
To start, the plot was self-explanatory, with barely any plot twists. The acting was poor, which made it hard to get immersed in the movie as it seemed like the actors were talking to the wall. Furthermore, the biggest part to point out is the CGI, as the quality of CGI was worse than low-budget Bollywood movies, it seemed pointless to use it.
Overall, the movie was very childish even for 3 years to watch, as all the aspects of the movie were terrible and disturbing. To conclude, I rate this movie as the worst film in humanity’s life, a complete waste of time. This film is currently available on Netflix.
