Although the rugby season hasn’t started yet, St. Mary’s is getting ready for a special event in October. A British international school from Hong Kong, Kellett School, has invited St. Mary’s to participate in a Rugby 7s match along with a team from Malvern College Tokyo. The event will be held at BST’s Nagasawa Sports Ground.
The tournament is scheduled for Monday, October 14th, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., the first day of Autumn Break. This gives the players a unique chance to compete during the holiday and get ready for the upcoming season in spring at the Guam tournament.
The starters for St. Mary’s include Kenyuh S (,28)., Isaac H (,28)., Nicolas R (,28)., Zen T (,28)., Kaede S(,27)., and Kentaro Y (,28). These players are ready to represent the school and face international competition.
Fans are encouraged to come and support the team, though there will likely be limited space on the school bus. In this case, fans should plan their own way to and from the BST ground to enjoy this match. The rugby match is expected to be one of the highlights of the break, along with Far East tennis and a volleyball game against ASIJ.
Excitement is building for the match, and the players promises to bring home the victory and be the rugby team’s highlight of the break. Hopefully, fans will look forward to cheering on the players in this friendly international contest.
