The St. Mary’s Cross Country team has decided its team for the Asia Pacific
Invitational Competition that will be held on October 20th to 22nd at Resol no Mori at Chiba prefecture. Schools from different parts of Asia will meet and compete against each other. There will be a 5k varsity race, in which the top 7 will run and an open race. The top 15 from the varsity race will receive medals. There will be a mixed relay in which all runners will be running in.
The team was decided on September 27, based on the results of the meet later that day. Only the top 10 from St. Mary’s will be chosen to run at Asia Pacific Invitational Competition. Many runners did extremely well, with almost everyone breaking their Personal Record. The Cross Country coach, Mr. Vinall shared his thoughts on the meet. He said, “I think it was the best team performance since I joined the team. I believe every person set a Personal Record tonight.”
