Supervised by Ms. Medley, the Chemistry Club has been reactivated since its disappearance in 2020!

Led by Yungi Lee, Aeymann Anwar, and Nathan Koo, the club will operate every other Wednesday. Yungi Lee, who has always been inspired to study materials engineering to create new substances, has recreated the chemistry club. The main purpose of the Chemistry Club is to conduct engaging and amazing chemical experiments. Not only does the club do exciting experiments, but the club also exists to support students struggling with their chemistry homework or in need of understanding chemical concepts.
The chemistry club will conduct its first official lab in 2025, March 12th. The lab will be about titration, where students will measure the pH of a substance utilizing a radish indicator. The club is planning to organize another fun experiment, such as the elephant toothpaste that went viral in late 2019. Through these interactive and enjoyable experiments, students can expand their knowledge of chemistry while having fun.
Yungi stated, “The goal for the Chemistry Club this year is to operate safely until the end of the school year,” emphasizing the importance of students understanding key chemistry concepts while ensuring a safe environment. By maintaining safety and encouraging students’ love for science, Yungi aims to help students continue the club’s legacy and develop a genuine interest in learning chemistry.
