Ayano Kato has been working at St. Mary’s for six years. She recently explained that she stumbled upon the job by accident when she was looking for part-time work and has loved it ever since. Every morning, she stands at the front entrance, greeting stud
ents with a smile and giving visitor tags to people coming to the school. Her favorite part of the job is seeing the happy faces of the students as they walk in, which always brightens her day.
Before working at St. Mary’s, Ms. Ayano had a vey interesting job. She worked at the Sydney Opera House, in Australia, for 13 years as a sushi chef.
Ms. Ayano says she loves the peaceful and friendly environment and feels lucky to be part of such a welcoming community. Both the staff and students appreciate her kind and calm personality, and she is an important part of the school.
In her free time, Ayano enjoys cooking. She loves trying new recipes and experimenting in the kitchen. Her love for cooking started when she was a sushi chef, and it’s something she still enjoys today. Ayano feels happy to be at St. Mary’s and plans to stay for many more years.
