On February 21, 2025, The St. Mary’s Special Needs Support Club (SNSC) will organize a fundraiser karaoke competition in the cafeteria on Friday night from 5:30.
The Special Needs Club is a club assisting people in need. They cooperate with PCC(Pregem Challenge Club)- an organization that supports people with Down syndrome. Once every month, the special needs club brings students in need to school on a Sunday, providing life skills and meals. They have taught typing, literacy skills, and lectures that would improve their life quality. Currently, the club is helping these students to prepare to participate in a frisbee competition for the Paralympics.
Four club leaders—Yuhtaro Shiihashi (’26), Sai Karthik Natarajan (’26), Kanishk Tatipamula (’26), and Hector Koo (’26)—are organizing a Karaoke event on Friday at the Cafeteria. The funds raised money will be used to feed people in need. According to Mr. Dogra, the reason for organizing the Karaoke event was that “Karaoke is a new event that no one has ever organized, and there are lots of choir people who could participate,” expressing hope that many people will show interest and participate.
The club is still recruiting people for the event. The event includes a 3,000 yen worth of Amazon Gift Card as a grand prize, and all the money fundraised will go for support. The event collaborates with Seisen, who has dedicated significant time to developing this idea. Please participate for the greater good!
