After seven years of dedicated service, St. Mary’s International School said goodbye to one of its most beloved custodians, Kumiko Imazeki, who has been part of the school community since 2018. A farewell party was held last week to celebrate her hard work, kindness, and the positive impact she has had on students and staff .

Throughout her time at St. Mary’s, Ms. Imazeki was known not just for keeping the school clean but also for her warm greetings and friendly presence. She would always have a smile on her face in the hallways creating a comforting setting for students to learn. “She always came to school with a smile on her face and showed her enthusiasm for being here through ha

rd work,” Mr. Ratzliff the elementary school principal shared. “Everyone knew her and commented on her positivity, kindness, and fun, open spirit.”
The farewell gathering was filled with gratitude and appreciation, as teachers, students, and staff members shared memories and well wishes for her future. Some expressed their thanks through gifts of appreciation.
Ms. Imazeki’s presence will certainly be missed, but her contributions to the school will not be forgotten. As she moves on to the next chapter of her journey, the St. Mary’s community wishes her all the best in what comes next.
