From June 9th to 27th, Summer School will be held at St. Mary’s.
Any boys and girls ages 5 and up are welcome to join the Summer School program. It is a two-week program, each day divided into four blocks, each lasting for 80 minutes. The first block starts at 8:30~9:50 a.m., the second block from 9:55~11:15 a.m., the third block from 12:15~1:35 p.m., and finally the 4th block from 1:40~3:00 p.m. Students can sign up for the blocks that offer the courses they are interested in. High school students have the option to either apply for a teacher assistant position or participate in the program.
There are numerous courses, ranging from sports to academics, varying at every grade level. Whether students are looking to improve on their skills in a particular area or try something new, there’s always a course for everyone, from beginners to advanced levels.
Students can choose from a variety of creative activities, including Active Games and Adventures Around the World. Those with an artistic interest may choose Art and Design technology, various sports such as tennis or soccer for athletes, an entrepreneurship class for students interested in business success, and the Drama and Performance Skills class for future actors. Additionally, core subjects are offered to students who want to perform well academically in the future.
According to Ms. Ashmore, the Director of St. Mary’s Summer School 2025, the time students invest in the program will lead to a positive outcome. Since there are lots of options in courses, every student can find something that suits their interests. The Summer School Staffs believe that students should be safe, have fun, and learn something new each day.
