Organized as part of the annual 13.5 km walk along the Tama River, this year’s walkathon is on track to nearly double the total raised in previous years.
Funds from this year’s walkathon will go to SEEDS Asia a nonprofit organization supporting earthquake relief in Myanmar. According to Mr. Southall, the Grade 6 students this has been the strongest suppourt from students and families since the fundraiser began. “It would be fantastic if we could round it up to ¥600,000,” Mr. Southall said.
