Ms. Jessica Hogan is the newest RP teacher at St. Mary’s International School. She brings with her not only teaching experience but also a spirit of adventure. Before moving to Tokyo, she lived in Ohio, but a trip her husband made last year influenced their big move. After he “fell in love with Japan,” they decided it was time to “start a new adventure” overseas.
As a fun fact, Ms. Hogan shared that she’s a vegetarian. She admitted that “it’s quite difficult to do here,” but it’s still a part of her lifestyle that she’s proud to maintain. She also mentioned that what she’s most excited about this year is “seeing her boys grow,” showing her enthusiasm to support her students as they learn throughout the school year.
Reflecting on her own school days, Ms. Hogan recalled the joy of class parties and the hands-on fun of making crafts. With a fresh perspective, she’s looking forward to having an amazing first year.
