Jonathan (Chinese name: 楊成喆) is a freshman at St. Mary’s, who arrived in Tokyo from Shanghai 6 years ago with his family, just before the COVID Pandemic. He is excited to be part of the Diplomat as an aspiring journalist and writer, having shown an interest in short story writing since his Middle School days. His hobbies include retro gaming, history, reading the news, surfing through Wikipedia, and videomaking, and he is currently a member of the History Society Varsity Team and the HS Cross Country team.
