We are excited to welcome Ms. Barasa to the St. Mary’s community. She has joined us as the Grade 7 Social Studies teacher and brings with her a lot of passion and experience.
Ms. Barasa is from Kitale, a town in the western part of Kenya. Before coming to St. Mary’s, she taught at Nairobi Jaffery Academy, Premier Academy in Nairobi, and the African Leadership Academy in Johannesburg, South Africa. Her teaching journey has taken her to different parts of Africa, and she is now a part of the St. Mary’s community.
“As a new teacher, I’ve been impressed by how friendly and welcoming everyone is,” Ms. Barasa shared. “St. Mary’s has strong values and really supports both students and teachers to grow.”
She enjoys teaching because every day is different. She loves seeing her students learn new things and use their skills both in and out of the classroom. “Each class brings something new to discover. It keeps the job exciting,” she said.
This year, Ms. Barasa’s goal is to build strong relationships with her students and fellow teachers. She believes that good teamwork and communication help create a happy and healthy learning space for everyone.
We’re so glad to have Ms. Barasa join the St. Mary’s family. Welcome aboard.
