Show Choir from the 2023-2024 School Year
After a one-year hiatus, the International Show Choir is back! This select ensemble, comprised of 26 students from St. Mary’s and Sacred Heart, performs high-level SATB pieces that are not possible within their respective single-sex schools. Directed by Mr. Jason Drahos, he “hopes the students continue developing their vocal skills.” An Iowa native, he was also part of his local show choir!
Historically, the Show Choir included students from Seisen International school, however, due to scheduling issues they are unfortunately unable to join this year.
Mr. Drahos explained that Show Choir is fun because it allows students to sing a bigger range of genres, such as jazz, pop, and show tunes, all while dancing!
The group is confirmed to perform at the Christmas Concert on December 7 and the JAM Show on February 19. They also hope to participate in KPASS events, including the Solo & Ensemble Festival and the Choral Festival.
