St. Mary’s hosted BST at home on Thursday for Senior Night, building up their skill to wrap up the season with one more match against CAJ, then the kanto finals and plenty of support from the crowd. Friends, families, and classmates came out to celebrate the seniors and enjoy a great night of volleyball.
The JV team started things off strong taking control early and keeping the energy high throughout the match. They came away with a clean sweep, winning 25–22 and 25–17, showing steady teamwork and focus from start to finish.
The Varsity game that followed was close and competitive. After loosing the first set 12–25, the titans bounced back with a big 25–23 win in the second. The third set went down to the wire, but BST managed to edge it out 15–12. Despite the loss, the team played hard and kept the crowd engaged all match long leading to an amazing senior night.
The night was also a chance to recognize the seniors — Kei Fujita, Joe Tobita, Noah Brooks, Ramon Hirose, Arnav Jain, and Thomas
Pinto, for their contributions to the team.
Their effort and leadership throughout the season were key to building the group’s chemistry and competitive spirit.” Joshua Knipfing a Sophmore on the team said.
