Final Home Dual Meet Celebrates Seven Seniors Before Match Against ASIJ
Wrestling Team Honors Seniors on Emotional Senior Night

The wrestling team held Senior Night on Wednesday, January 14, in the gym before their home dual meet against ASIJ. This night was special because it was the last time the seniors would be recognized at home.

This season has been very strong for the team. Their only loss was to Zama, and if they beat Kinnick, they will tie for first place in the league. This made Senior Night even more meaningful.

During the ceremony, seniors  walked out with their families. The gym was loud with cheering as they were given flowers and posters to thank them for their hard work.

Jimin, the team captain, has been on the team since sophomore year and is known for his leadership and consistency. He has won one Far East title and is a varsity wrestler. Hugo, who has been on the team since freshman year, has won two Far East titles and is known for his experience and championship mindset. Although Hugo is injured and cannot compete for the rest of the season, he continues to come to matches and support the team.

Varsity wrestlers Kei and Kyungjun were also honored. Yuchan and Yo joined the team as juniors, and Hans and Kyungjun, who joined this year, have shown fast improvement and strong natural talent.

Senior Night was an important moment to celebrate everything the seniors have given to the wrestling program. The team now looks to finish the season strong and fight for first place.
