Class of 2029 reporter Salman has hit the 25-published-story milestone. He is the third reporter to reach this stage this year, and his portfolio of works illustrates a strong interest in highlighting the accomplishments of his peers, and in helping his community better understand the complexities of the world around them.
“Salman is a gifted reporter who really cares about the subjects he writes about,” explained his teacher/publisher Mr. Douglas. Douglas further explained that Salman “..is often the first to volunteer to take on an assignment, and is always diligent about getting the story reported properly.”
When asked about his favorite, Salman, who joined St. Mary’s last year as a freshmen, explained that the stories he is most proud of are his piece about the History Society winning a recent competition, and another story that explained the background of the current Iran conflict.
Salman is unsure about career he will take, he would like to study journalism, history and possibly education, but no matter what he does the diligence and attention to detail he has shown in his work for the Diplomat will undoubtedly serve him well.
