Middle School student Kayou has been nominated as St. Mary’s Artist of the Week for his dedication and impressive risk-taking and experimentation skills.
“Kayou has demonstrated a passion for art and has already begun to develop his own unique artistic style. I would like the viewer to take notice of the bold, confident, and expressive painting style in this biology-themed artwork,” said Ms. Ramos-Virley, the middle school art teacher who nominated Kayou. Additionally, Ms. Ramos-Virley also commented that “the bold choice of cool color tones, strong lines, and the striking 3D effect stood out most to me.”
Overall, not only does Kayou’s artwork show striking artistic techniques and skills, but the work also reflects his risk-taking initiatives and impressive experimentation skills.
