One of the most important themes at St. Mary’s this year was the emphasis on character, respect, and community. This was reflected in school events, athletics, and student activities throughout the year. In Beyond the Scoreboard: Upholding St. Mary’s Values, Headmaster Andrew Davies reminded students that sportsmanship and respect are just as important as athletic success. Similar values could be seen across many school events, where students were encouraged to demonstrate integrity, responsibility, and compassion. These moments were important because they helped strengthen the school community and reinforced the values that define St. Mary’s.
Beyond St. Mary’s, the rapid growth of artificial intelligence was one of the most significant developments of the year. AI continued to transform education, business, and communication, leading to discussions about how technology should be used responsibly. At the same time, Japan and the rest of the world faced important social, economic, and political challenges that affected millions of people. These events were significant because they will continue to shape the future that today’s students will inherit and influence.
