This school year was another busy year for students with events such as the school carnival, sports competitions, fine arts concerts, and many more. Although this was exciting time for students, internationally, the world experienced political and economical turmoil through conflicts in Iran.
The carnival included many exciting and busy booths. One of them was the special needs club’s water balloon throwing booths, which offered anyone to throw water balloons at the booth staff. Both the staff and the participant enjoyed the cold splash of water in that very hot day at the carnival, also helping people in need through donation.
In contrast, the world experienced a rather unpleasant year with events such as Trump’s operation on Iran. There were many
effects to economy in Japan, especially to oil prices, discussed in this article , emphasizing how the sudden increase in oil price is caused by this war, and its short and long term economical effects in Japan. This article also explored influence to St Mary’s students, which some of them rely on transportation like car or a bus, which uses oil.
