Throughout the 2025–26 school year, School Diplomat covered a variety of events both within the St. Mary’s community and beyond. Among the most significant stories were the Spring Musical Into the Woods and the rise in gasoline prices across Japan. While one highlighted the creativity and collaboration of the school community, the other demonstrated how economic issues can affect people’s daily lives. Together, these stories reflected the diverse range of topics covered throughout the year.

One of the articles selected for this reflection was Into the Woods Comes to Life on the Tri-School Stage. This article was chosen because it covered one of the largest school productions of the year and involved students, teachers, and staff members from all three schools. Researching the musical provided insight into the teamwork and preparation required behind the scenes, from building sets and props to managing sound and lighting. The article highlighted how collaboration and creativity came together to create a memorable experience for the school community.

This article was chosen because it covered an issue that affected people throughout Japan, including transportation costs and daily expenses. Researching the topic provided a better understanding of how global events and economic trends can influence everyday life.
