The History Society, led by Mr. Pettit traveled to Thailand from June 11–15 for an international competition. The event was challenging, with the team narrowly missing the semifinals. In the History Bee “both I and Hirohisa tied” Oma said, a member of the team. They came close to advancing further, which made the experience both exciting and motivating, they said.
Members emphasized that traveling abroad was a memorable adventure and that Thailand was very hot but full of delicious food and friendly people. Outside of the competition, the team swam every day, though and shared a funny memory of how they quickly learned the importance of sunscreen after getting badly sunburned on their backs.

The History Society is open to anyone interested in history, and new members can join by attending our interest meeting. Their main goal for this year is simple, win the competition and bring home a trophy.
