He wakes up at 6:30 a.m. every school day. In the morning, he eats foods that help fuel his body for varsity wrestling, including carbohydrates like rice or toast, along with protein such as eggs and yogurt. Eating a healthy breakfast helps him stay energized for school and gives him strength for practice later. He also drinks a lot of water throughout the day to stay hydrated and for him to not crmp during practice.
During the school day he balances academics with wrestling. Because the wrestling team has practice every day after school, he makes sure to stay on top of his homework. He often finishes assignments during free periods or right when he gets home from school before practice. Making weight is also a big part of the routine, so he is careful about what he eats and avoids junk food. Even with long practices, he does not feel overly tired in class because he tries to get at least eight hours of sleep every night.
After school he heads to wrestling practice. The team practices five to six times per week, and each session lasts about two hours. Practice usually starts with warm ups , including running, sprawls, and intense drills to create a sweat. Then they move into technique and live wrestling. He stated, “The hardest part of practice is the trifectas goes at the end, when you’re already exhausted but still have to fight through it.” After practice, he goes home tired and sore, but he still finds time to stretch, recover, and finish any remaining homework.
On competitio day he competes in multiple matches and focuses on shooting first and disciplined. Wrestling requires mental toughness, self-control, and commitment, but he continues to push himself because he wants to improve and help his team win.
