Through October 22-26, the Varsity Cross Country team went to Guam for the Asia Pacific Invitational. This is an invitational which occurs seasonally, where St Mary’s runners can showcase their ability and their growth over the hard-worked season. This year, the Titans had 4 All-Stars, with two podium finishes showing their dominance.
In this invitational, SMIS placed second overall with Noah (’27) winning the whole race, as the first-place champion, out of the many runners. Senior Mughil (’26) placed third, Tyler (’27) placed 10th, Yuto (’27) placed 11th, and the entire team had an overall outstanding performance.

Coach McGuire noted that “Noah was definitely the most improved runner”, but also said that “he runs like a beast, full of energy”. He also expressed how close the race was, saying that “Mughil came within seconds after Noah did”. After all, he noted that he hoped to see the “superstar”, Noah, perform and win next year too.
The cross-country team had an amazing season, showcasing their growth and hard work. Their second-place overall finish at the Asia Pacific Invitational highlighted both their talent and determination.
