The St. Mary’s varsity soccer team, coached by Mr. Chan and captained by senior Rintaro Hirota, enters the season with a strong and experienced team. This year’s roster includes players across grades from ten through twelve. The roster is in the following: Kento (G10), Yuto (G12) , Sosuke (G11), Ginta (G11), Yuki (G11), Aoto (G11), Ramon (G11), Rintaro (G12), Yejoon (G12), Yuya (G12), Ko (G10), Jihei (G12), Kaito (G11), Tomas (G12), Kousei (G12), Yuu (G12), Noah (G11), Joe (G12), and NingNing (G12).
Even with a competitive team, the home soccer games at St. Mary’s often have small crowd. The year, the team is hoping for more students to come and support, especially at home games. A brighter sideline can create a home field advantage and bring school spirit, which is not often seen at soccer games.
Two of the biggest home matchups are the following:
St. Mary’s vs ASIJ on January 14
St. Mary’s vs BST on January 17
These are major rivalry games and is the perfect chance for students to show up, cheer, and support the team.
The Titans are ready for the season. Now they just need the St. Mary’s community behind them.
