From April 23–27, the St. Mary’s Titans rugby team travelled to Guam to compete in the 2nd Annual Rugby Friendship 7s Tournament. The trip included training sessions, sightseeing, and two matches, giving the players a great opportunity to grow as a team and compete internationally.
The highlight of the trip was the Titans’ close match against Father Duenas Memorial School (FD), the tournament hosts. Compared to last year’s 22–7 loss, the Titans showed huge improvement, nearly beating FD this time. The final score was 22–17 in favor of FD, but the Titans kept up, try for try, throughout the game. A long 60-meter breakaway try by Kaede, and a calm conversion by Nathaniel , tied the game near the end. However, FD scored once more in the final minutes to secure the win.

The Titans also played a strong game against Simon Sanchez High School, winning 38–5. The team showed fast ball movement, solid defence, and great teamwork. Roman o scored two tries, while Kai , Nathaniel, Kentaro, and Ty each scored one.
Led by coaches Ms. Zaferis and Mr. Yorke, the team trained at Governor Joseph Flores Beach Park, and spent time together visiting local sites like Donki Mall. They also attended a team lunch hosted by the FD rugby families. The players stayed at the Pacific Island Club, where they balanced structured training with time to relax. The tournament was a great chance to play high-level rugby and bond as a team, show school spirit, and represent St. Mary’s abroad. The Titans returned to Tokyo on April 27 with heads held high, ready to build on what they learned.
