On March 24, the varsity baseball team had a well-rounded victory with strong performances both on the mound and at the plate, ending the game with 11-4 against the Zama Trojans.

Ken Brimmer started the game on the mound, going 4 innings with 5 hits allowed, 3 earned runs, and 8 strikeouts. Issei Takahashi followed him with a dominant relief appearance, striking out 6 in 3 innings and allowing no earned runs.
At the plate, the Titans racked up 9 hits, with Ken Brimmer going 4 for 4 with a double and 3 stolen bases, and Ty Tamagawa with 3 on base. The team showed perseverance, with most runs scored from 2 outs.

Beyond the scoreboard, the team demonstrated resilience and focus, as most of the runs scored were after 2 outs. Even as the Zama Trojans attempted to close the gap, the team did not rely on individual performance, but stayed as a team, attempting to keep the voltage high with constant singles, without many full swings, only aiming for a homerun. Some members of the team showed great sportsmanship throughout the game, representing St. Mary’s in and out of play. With great atmosphere and momentum, the St. Mary’s Varsity Baseball team next faces Yokota on April 8th at home, and the ASIJ Mustangs on April 11.
