The Middle School Football A Team has had an impressive start to the season, remaining undefeated and showing strong teamwork on the field. They recently won an important game against ASIJ, a school many players see as their biggest rival. The team came away with a 2–0 victory, keeping their record perfect and their confidence high.
At St. Mary’s, the players say the season has been full of energy and school spirit. Eighth grader Riku Suzuki said, “The team’s strongest aspect is in the midfield where we have control, and we can improve on the sides.” He also said the team aims to win the Kanto League and remain undefeated for the rest of the season. The players have worked hard in practices and games, and they appreciate the support from their classmates and coaches. Some players like to celebrate after games with ice cream, which has become a small team tradition.
So far, the team has been working hard to improve their skills and keep their winning streak alive. Some of the biggest goals for the season include teamwork, sportsmanship, and representing St. Mary’s with pride. The players say they are excited for the rest of the season and hope to finish strong, showing what a dedicated and talented team they are.
